ProMusica Chamber Orchestra: Foundation & Government Support

PRIVATE AND COMMUNITY FOUNDATION SUPPORT

Foundation giving provides a significant source of support for ProMusica Chamber Orchestra year after year. Grants from these private and community foundations help sustain both artistic programming and our diverse array of educational offerings, which reach over 5,000 children, families, adults, and students annually. Grants provide general operating support and specific support for designated programs and projects.

These programs and projects include (but are not limited to):

• Specific concerts or concert series

• Commissions of new works
• Education and Outreach programs
       - Musicians in the Schools
       - Student Advisory Board
       - Youth and Family Day
       - Stop! Look! Listen! Concert Series
       - The Columbus Metropolitan Library Series
       - Open Rehearsals for Seniors
       - CODA: Post-Concert Conversations

GOVERNMENTSUPPORT

ProMusica is grateful for the continuous support of the Greater Columbus Arts Council, the Ohio Arts Council, and Thrive in Five. Our ongoing relationships with these organizations provide essential operating and program support to ProMusica each year. ProMusica has also received generous grants from the National Endowment for the Arts toward the commissioning and presentation of new works.

Funding through the Greater
Columbus Arts Council/City of
Columbus grants program provides critical operating dollars that allow ProMusica to fund its areas of
greatest need—whether it be
musicians’ salaries or hall rental, postage costs or ticket stock—all of
the things that are critical to running
a successful performing arts organization. ProMusica is proud
to be generously supported by GCAC,
a funder who looks for artistic excellence, fiscal integrity, and innovation in the organizations and programs it funds. Led by Milt Baughman, GCAC is also
the leading advocate for the arts in central Ohio, and plays a pivotal role
in representing the interests of artists
and arts organizations in numerous community discussions.
