Play Us Forward (PUF) program provides musical instruments, first-rate instruction, and engaging musical experiences to over 100 middle school students from urban charter schools in Columbus. Through PUF, students build invaluable life skills such as teamwork and leadership, and the program inspires self-confidence, creative expression and overall academic achievement for each student involved.

“Playing an instrument means that I am capable of doing something that I never thought I would do and it’s fun.”

Play Your Part!  Join us in making musical experiences possible.

ProMusica seeks new and/or used instruments for the program. Donate a violin, viola, cello, or bass –– or make a financial contribution toward the purchase of one of these instruments!

1)  Make a donation online! A starting gift in the amount of $500 will allow one student to fully participate in the Play Us Forward program. ProMusica will work directly with our community partner, The Loft Violin Shop to ensure your contribution puts a new instrument in the hands of a student.

2)  Donate your beloved instrument! We accept used string instruments, and will be evaluated and appraised by our program partner, The Loft Violin Shop. Please visit The Loft directly to drop off your instrument.

If significant repairs are needed, donors will be provided with the option to contribute financially toward repair costs. If a donor chooses not to provide these additional funds, used instruments will still be accepted. Once an instrument has been accepted, ProMusica and The Loft Violin Shop reserve the right to determine whether each instrument will be repaired for use.  For more details, please refer to our Instrument Acceptance Policy.
