Community Programs

ProMusica’s Youth & Family Program is a collaborative effort designed to engage at-risk youth through music experiences at local after school programs and social service agencies. Individual musicians and the education manager visit classrooms at least twice to discuss music and instruments. The program aims to break down the barriers of enjoying classical music and provides opportunities to engage children in the beauty and power of music and the arts.

Presented by Classical 101 and ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, Youth & Family Day is the culminating event of the Youth & Family Program. Open to the entire Columbus community, Youth & Family Day is a day full of musical activities, crafts, and a free family-friendly performance.

Youth and Family Day 2015 will be held on Sunday, May 10th at WOSU@ COSI.
