As ProMusica’s 2009-2010 season draws to a close, we reflect upon on our many accomplishments of successful artistic and educational programming! Additionally, we strive to uphold our tradition and responsibility of being a financially sound institution. As we approach the last weeks of our fiscal year, we aim for one more accomplishment – to end our season in the black.
I am thrilled to acknowledge the leadership and generosity of our Sustaining Board, a dedicated group of volunteers who work tirelessly to fundraise on behalf of ProMusica. Not only have they made a significant contribution to the organization for this season, but as we strive to close the gap of our shortfall, they have chosen to lead efforts with the announcement of a match challenge.
The ProMusica Sustaining Board has offered to match any donations received by June 30th, dollar-for-dollar, up to $8,000. In this time of budget constraints and belt-tightening from corporate and government funding sources, we hope you can help! Any gift, large or small (whether new, additional, or increased) will give us the ability to continue presenting:
• Free family concerts at The Columbus Museum of Art and Columbus Metropolitan Library
• Musicians in the Schools programming at 25 area high schools
• Musician visits to at-risk youths in urban afterschool programs and social service agencies
• Innovative commissions and premieres of new American chamber music
If you have given already this year, we are deeply grateful for your support and hope that you may have just a little more to give. If you are considering making a gift,, what a perfect opportunity this is to help with a contribution that will double its impact. Please consider taking advantage of this challenge match by making a tax-deductible gift to the orchestra today.
Thank you for your continued investment in our artistic and financial success!
Sincerely,
Janet Chen
Executive Director
