WELCOME!

Dear Friends:

It is hard to believe how quickly our 30th Anniversary has come and gone – and what a fantastic year it was: unique and creative collaborations, our “Musicians in the Schools” education program doubling in size, a 30% increase in single ticket sales, and 9% increase in subscriptions! We are thrilled to carry this momentum and energy into our 31st Season!

At the same time, it is without a doubt that ProMusica has not been immune to the current economic challenges, despite our years of solid financial history. As we look forward, we assure you that the orchestra maintains its responsibility to fiscal management. Accordingly, we have scaled back our budget in a variety of ways in response to the belt-tightening from the public and private sectors. We want to ensure that ProMusica emerges just as strong and stable after we weather the economic storm and looks towards better days ahead!

But more importantly, we have created and planned for a 31st Season that continues to provide quality music, talented musicians, commissions, world premieres, and valuable outreach programs – making mindful choices that protect the integrity of our organization’s strong artistic core and mission. I hope you will find this 31st Season rich as ever with musical offerings, education activities, and opportunities for us to give back to our community.

Thank you to all of you – subscribers, single ticket buyers, donors, sponsors, and audience friends - for your continued commitment to ProMusica. Every ticket sold and every donation made, whether big or small, makes all the difference to us, and we deeply appreciate it!

Thank you for sharing your evening with us.

With all best wishes,

Sincerely,

Janet Chen
Executive Director
