Julie Ann Link

Julie Ann Link (1987) is the second bassoonist with the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra. Julie also holds a position with the Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra of Valencia, Spain which is comprised of musicians from around the world and tours regularly throughout Europe. In addition, Julie is a graduate student at the Cleveland Institute of Music where she studies with Barrick Stees. She received her undergraduate degree in orchestral performance from Arizona State University where she studied with Albie Micklich and Jeffrey Lyman. Her recent awards include ASU Chamber Orchestra Concerto Competition overall winner, Yamaha Performing Artists Competition overall winner and double reed winner, and 2010 and 2007 International Meg Quigley Vivaldi Competition prize winner. Julie participated in summer festivals with the Interlochen Advanced Bassoon Institute in Interlochen, Michigan and the Ameropa Solo and Chamber Music Festival in Prague, Czech Republic. Her special awards received are the Miles Dresskell Memorial Award and the ASU Special Talent Award. She is also an active member of Bassoon 4, the CIM bassoon quartet that strives to improve arts engagement through performances around Cleveland. Julie is a native of Plano, Texas.
