American Originals

American Originals showcases the talent and virtuosity of American composers, both traditional and contemporary. Recorded at the historic Southern Theatre in Columbus, Ohio, and conducted by two-time Grammy Award-nominated Music Director Timothy Russell, the CD features three world-premiere recordings from ProMusica's 25th Anniversary Season - Peter Schickele's brilliant Clarinet Concerto featuring virtuoso clarinetist Robert Spring; Michael Daugherty's captivating Tell My Fortune; and David Noon's inspiring ProMusica Sempre! This recording also includes an older American Original, Barber's Knoxville: Summer of 1915 with renowned soprano Carmen Pelton.  (2005)
